Neighborhood cleaning house with house demolition

Hillsborough County, Florida - The clanks and clunks of demolition are music to the ears of some folks in the Orient Park neighborhood. They're glad to see a troublesome, vacant house crumble.

"Thugs go back in there, drugs, prostitutes... you name it, they were back there," says neighborhood resident Diane Barnes.

The demolition of the house on East 26^th Avenue is just part of an ongoing effort by Hillsborough Code Enforcement to clean up the Orient Park neighborhood. Since April 2^nd, work crews have also been picking up all sorts of debris.

Tampa Bay Sentinels host the Dallas Defenders

Tampa, Florida-- This Saturday, April 14, come out and support your local law enforcement, firefighters and military members as the Tampa Bay Sentinels take on the Dallas Defenders in the Public Safety Bowl.

The Tampa Bay Sentinels are ranked number one in the Southeast Region, and the Dallas Defenders are ranked number three.

The game takes place at Jefferson High School, 4401 W. Cypress St Tampa, FL 33607 at 1:00 p.m.

Tickets are $5 in advance, $10 at the gate.

Kids under 5 & people with disabilities are free!

Hillsborough County, Florida – Join the fiesta at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay every Sunday from April 15 through May 6 for Viva la Musica! This once a year event features a blend of live performances from award-winning Latin artists with popular, regional Latin cuisine and authentic arts and crafts.

Concerts include Victor Manuelle (April 15), Grupo Mania (April 22), Dyland & Lenny (April 29), and Jerry Rivera (May 6). Concerts begin at 3 p.m. on Gwazi Field.

Osceola fire prompts advisory for the Bay Area

Seeing (and smelling) smoke this morning? 10 News meteorologist Bobby Deskins says the it most likely came from a combination of the County Line / Osceola fire in north Florida, and some smaller fire to our northeast. The air should continue to gradually clear through the afternoon hours, however Deskins thinks we will still smell a little smoke.

Procrastinators, file during H&R Block's extended hours

Tampa, Florida-- As the deadline to file nears, H&R Block offers extended hours at Tampa offices to anyone who has yet to file.

Extended hours at H&R Block Tampa locations began on April 10 and will continue through April 17.

Open from 8 a.m.-10 p.m. weekdays, and 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, last minute filers should not have trouble finding a time that meets their needs.

On Tax Day, H&R Block offices even offer to remain open until the last client has filed a return or an extension.
