GED test offered on computers in Hillsborough County

Tampa, Florida – Hillsbrough County Public Schools officials have announced a new and improved way for residents to take their GED!

In addition to the old-"school", paper-and-pencil way of testing, the county now has the test available on the computer at the Adult and Career Service Center located at 5410 N. 20th St. They say the traditional version will be available until the end of 2013 at the following testing centers:  

Police identify East Tampa murder victim

Tampa, Florida -- Tampa Police officers continue to investigate the murder of a 49-year-old man in East Tampa Tuesday night.

Police say the body of Anthony Jerome Lee was found inside a home in the 3900 block of E. Genesee Street.

The investigation is ongoing and no other details surrounding the case have been revealed at this time.

Tampa, Florida-- The group that advises the Hillsborough Board of Commissioners on women's issues, the Commission on the Status of Women, is meeting thisweek.

County officials say the meeting will take place from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28 on the 26th Floor Conference Room B at County Center.

If you have an interest in women's issues in Hillsborough County, you're welcome to attend. The county center is located at 601 E. Kennedy Blvd in Downtown Tampa.
