Police search for Chevron gas station robbers

Tampa, FL -- Hillsborough County detectives are searching for the men who robbed the Chevron gas station on Friday, Feb. 10.

According to police, around 2:33 a.m., the two men shattered the front door of the gas station on 7702 East Hillsborough Ave. and removed the cash drawer before fleeing in an unknown direction.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 5'8" - 6', medium build. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with white design on the back, dark jeans, black gloves, black shoes and wearing a white shirt covering his face.

Bucs seek nominations for "Road to Success" program

Tampa, FL -- The Buccaneers are currently accepting nominations for the 3rd Annual "Road to Success" program, a team community initiative that will provide one person in need with the keys to a 2012 Ford Focus.

If you have a friend, coworker or family member who would truly benefit from a new vehicle, the Buccaneers want to know.

All applications must be received by 5 p.m. ET on Jan. 31. Only complete applications will be considered and only one entry per person is allowed.

Hillsborough County, Florida -- If you know an outstanding young person who lives in Hillsborough County you should nominate them for the YEA! Awards so they can get the attention they deserve.

The Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners says it wants to recognize the many positive contributions made by young people in our community through the Youth Excellence and Achievement Awards (YEA! Awards).

Nominations are being accepted now through Feb. 3.

Nominations open for 2012 Hillsborough County Women’s Hall Of Fame

Hillsborough County, FL -- Nomination forms are now available online for the 2012 Hillsborough County Women’s Hall of Fame at with submissions due on or before January 15, 2012.

Up to three nominees will be selected, and the winners will be announced at a Hillsborough County Commission meeting in March 2012, followed by an induction at a formal ceremony in May.
