Southern Ford Dealers "Drive Hunger Relief" to dontate 100,000 meals

Tampa, Florida-- Southern Ford Dealers have announced their commitment to the yearlong "Driving Hunger Relief" program, in which they will work to donate 100,000 meals to Feeding America food banks in Southern Ford Dealer communities.

FDOT lane closures for Sept. 16-22

Hillsborough County, Florida -- The Florida Department of Transportation has announced the following lane closures for the week of Sept. 16 - 22. Motorists should plan their commutes accordingly.

Courtney Campbell Causeway (SR 60) between Pinellas County Line and Rocky Point Drive

Repaving – Nightly lane closures Sunday – Thursday from 8:00 pm to 5:30 am.

Dale Mabry Highway from Kennedy Boulevard to Hillsborough Avenue

Concrete repair/resurfacing – Nightly lane closures Sunday - Thursday from 7:00 pm to 6:30 am.

I-4 resurfacing from McIntosh Rd. to Branch Forbes Rd.

I-4 resurfacing from McIntosh Rd. to Branch Forbes Rd.

Plant City, Florida-- The Florida Department of transportation has announced nightly lane closures on I-4 from McIntosh Rd. to branch Forbes Rd. due to the resurfacing project taking place.

"One lane may be closed on eastbound I-4 between McIntosh Road (Exit 14) and Branch Forbes Road (Exit 17) from 8 p.m. Sunday (September 9) to 6 a.m. Monday (September 10)."

In addition, Lane striping work is planned from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Sunday (September 10 - 16) nights.

They advise commuters to be alert to slow-moving vehicles in any lane.

Selmon Expressway Lane Closures

Tampa, Florida-- The Florida Department of Transportation announced that one lane will be closed in each direction of the Selmon Expressway (SR 618) in the 50th Street area.

The lanes will remain closed until 3:30 p.m. today.

Website to help drivers cope downtown during RNC

Tampa, Florida --The Republican National Convention which begins in less than two weeks is expected to create a traffic nightmare for commuters in Downtown Tampa.

To ease the pain the Tampa Bay Area Regional Transportation Authority ( TBARTA) has created a website it is calling "Commuter Solutions".

The website www.RNC-Traffic.com will have links to transportation related to the event.
