Hillsborough County, Florida-- For those citizens who abide by the traffic laws, you can rest assured knowing that the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has an eye out for those who don't. 

Today, tomorrow, and then again on next Friday and Saturday, HCSO DIII will conduct "Operation Trident", a three pronged traffic initiative which targets habitual traffic offenders, aggressive drivers and Impaired drivers.

Tampa, Florida-- Tampa Police Department has reported several intersections currently have non-functioning traffic lights due to weather conditions.

Officials say they have received a high volume of calls in dispatch, and officers currently work to get to the intersections to direct traffic. 

The following major intersections either have no power, flashing lights, or debris in  the roadway:

​One lane will be closed on the westbound Selmon Expressway (SR 618) from 22nd Street to Morgan Street from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. This sarted Sunday, April 29, and will last through Thursday May 3.
